Often connecting to larger worlds like broadcast, exhibits, or emergent media, my focus is on creating cohesive gameplay, narrative, and visual design that invites players to explore worlds and feel like they’re part of something bigger.
Broken Spectre

An immersive VR horror game that fuses cosmic dread, body horror, and generational trauma into a haunting narrative driven by hand-tracking mechanics and unsettling exploration.
Grojband “The Show Must Go On”

An interactive online and mobile game for children aged six to 12, allowing them to create custom transitions for the Grojband TV show, with the chance to have their creations featured on-air.
Damaged ARG

An alternate reality game that pulls the audience into a grim and gritty world of hackers and serial killers through a remotely accessed desktop, SMS, email, and a chatbot experience.
Robo Co-Op
Story and Art Lead
A game jam project developed by a small team. Robo Co-Op requires two players to work in tandem to complete tasks for their employer. My role was to shepherd the creative and story, creating the cheery apocalypse-world, developing story-driven mechanics, and shepherding the art through sketches, concepts, and interface design.
Halcyon VR

A hybrid VR/TV series that takes players into a simulated crime scene and allows them to uncover new evidence for themselves, adding greater context to the TV mini-episodes.
The Great Martian War

A web-based video editor preloaded with thousands of clips from the show’s episodes, designed to give fans the opportunity to create their own memes, upload them to the show’s website, and potentially get featured on YTV.
Are You On The Blacklist?

Are You On The Blacklist? was an interactive, online teaser episode created in support of the NBC series’ launch. Using Facebook Connect, visitors to the site were pulled into an original investigation that had them questioned by the show’s stars… and asked them to implicate their friends based on how well they knew them.
The Distractor Beam

Winston Steinburger & Sir Dudley Ding-Dong was a hit animated series for kids aged 6-11 that aired on Teletoon and was created by Atomic Cartoons. Following the adventures of the titular characters, The Distractor Beam is a mobile game that served to introduce these new characters to kids in a fun and interactive game.
Big Brother Canada – Season 1

When Endemol and Shaw Media brought the international sensation of Big Brother to Canada, Secret Location was entrusted with their online and second-screen companion. Based on research of existing fan behaviour, we developed the concept for the predictions game, and drove fan engagement to unprecedented levels. BB Canada’s inaugural digital strategy was the most successful in the franchise’s history.
Big Brother Canada – Season 2

After the massive success of the first season, Endemol and Shaw entrusted Secret Location with a larger digital component and even more audience influence over the TV series. This time around, Canadian fans got to vote for the final house guest, and collaborated to unlock additional challenges, eviction nominations, and plot twists.
First Day In Paris

A tablet-based language learning game with a focus on story. Speax developed the learning plan and I then created a story centered around a hotel in Paris. I developed the activities and mini-games that incorporated the lesson objectives and tied them back to the character’s progressing story arcs.
Mtn Dew: Got Handles VR
Creative Director
Mountain Dew’s Got Handles VR game featured the ultra-skilled streetball player and YouTube influencer known as The Professor. Designed as part of the brand’s interactive installation at SXSW 2017, it allowed fans to experience first-hand what it feels like to make moves and chain tricks like a pro.
What Are The Sevens?

An interactive short-form film designed as a proof-of-concept and as the agency’s primary identity. The film moves along at a constant pace, never slowing down for user participation; it’s up to the visitors to finish the challenges on time.
Once connected to the visitor’s phone, interaction becomes more dynamic, ultimately converging on an unexpected finale that surprised and delighted audiences.
My Babysitter’s A Vampire

An arcade-style mobile game created to promote Season 2 of the Disney XD/Teletoon show, My Babysitter’s a Vampire. The CG fighter used photogrammetry to capture the actors and included a new rewards system, new environments and characters, and a reworked interface that takes full advantage of the platform.
Nerds & Monsters

I was the creative lead on a trio of web and mobile-based games that played into the gross-out and slapstick humour that the show Nerds & Monsters became known for. These games were designed to allow for continuous playthrough and reward the players as their skills increased. All three included hand-drawn animation and assets.
